Who we are
We are a team of six faculty members from the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the College of Pharmacy, King Saud University. The team was established in 2022 with the aim to provide a collaborative research environment across a diverse range of disciplines (based on the members expertise) within the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences, including molecular and preclinical toxicology, pharmacology, and experimental therapeutics.
Since 2022, the team has been developing a state-of-the-art laboratory facility. Through several awarded grants, the team has successfully built core infrastructure to support its primary research activities within the areas of molecular toxicology and pharmacology. The team has established several in vivo and in vitro models.
Mission and Goals:
• To promote an interdisciplinary collaborative research environment in the area of molecular therapeutics and toxicology (e.g., the discovery of novel therapies)
• To promote basic and translational research that could tackle current challenges to the healthcare system
• To train students and researchers to carry out research within the area of molecular therapeutics and toxicology
• To provide access to a cutting-edge facility to carry out research within the area of molecular therapeutics and toxicology
• To provide intellectual and technical research as well as training and educational services within the area of molecular therapeutics and toxicology
